Adani Group pledges Rs 8,700 crore investments in Bihar; storages, gas network; smart metering in focus

Adani Group pledges to increase investment in Bihar to Rs 8,700 crore and generate 10,000 direct and indirect employment opportunities. They plan to raise godown storage capacity to 65 lakh square feet and expand city gas network in Gaya and Nalanda. Adani Wilmar will set up wheat processing, solvent extractor, and co-generation power units. Paddy processing plants will be established in Sasaram and Rohtas with an investment of Rs 800 crore. The group will install 28 lakh smart meters to automate the power sector.
