*Run The Jewels* and *Royal Blood* have shared a startling new collaboration.

Out now, 'The Ground Below (Royal Jewels Mix)' finds the two groups uniting, with El-P and Killer Mike spraying over some gnarly riffs from the UK duo.

The single has been a long time coming, with a mutual friendship existing for some time now.

"We’re big fans of each other’s bands”, explains El-P of Run The Jewels. "A while back, we hung out and played each other songs we love - one of mine was Gang Of Four’s 'Ether', which I later sampled for 'the ground below'. Mike and I thought it would be cool to get Royal Blood’s take on the ground below - we sent it off to them and they f*cking killed it."

It's a punishing experience, but still thrilling - the needle rarely (if ever) dips below the red, turning this into a transformative rock-rap meeting.
