Testing strategy flounders even as positivity surges in Karnataka

On Sunday, Karnataka conducted a mere 97,236 Covid-19 tests, the lowest this year and on Monday, the daily positivity rate surged to a staggering 40%, the state’s highest ever. Experts say the state’s policy to test only symptomatic people is an artificial way of reducing the number of infections.
