J&K: Bodies of 2 more soldiers recovered from Poonch-Rajouri encounter area, toll now 9

The encounter in J&K's Poonch has now claimed the lives of nine soldiers, with recovery of two more bodies on Saturday. Bodies of a junior commissioned officer and a jawan were recovered from the encounter site in the forests of Mendhar. A search operation in the forest areas of Poonch and Rajouri was launched earlier to track down terrorists after 5 army personnel were killed in an encounter on Oct 12.
