Delhi: 10 years after MCD's trifurcation, Centre clears bill for reunification

The Union Cabinet on Tuesday cleared the introduction of a bill to create a unified Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) in an important step towards reversing the controversial decision in 2012 to splinter the civic body into three entities with jurisdictions over eastern, northern and southern parts of the city.
