Maharashtra MLC polls: MVA takes Nagpur, Aurangabad; BJP picks Konkan

In a major setback for deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis, state BJP president Chandrashekhar Bawankule and Union minister Nitin Gadkari, the BJP-backed nominee for the Nagpur division teachers' constituency, N G Ganar, lost to MVA candidate Sudhakar Adbale of Congress. Results of five MLC polls in the state started coming in on Thursday.
