Unclog plan: A ring road over Hooghly, around Kolkata

Second Vivekananda Bridge Tollway Company (SVBTC), which built Nivedita Setu or the second Vivekananda Bridge over the Hooghly at Bally-Dakshineswar, has proposed a 200-km outer ring road to decongest the city. Vehicles can avail of the ring road, bypass the city centre and travel on the periphery from Howrah to Kolkata to North and South 24-Parganas.
