Data engineer tries to open plane's emergency door midair, held at Bengaluru airport

A 29-year-old data engineer was arrested for allegedly trying to open the emergency door of an aircraft on a Paris-Bengaluru flight in the wee hours of July 16. Accused Venkat Mohit Pathipati from Rajahmundry in Andhra Pradesh works as a data engineer in a US grocery company and was flying to Bengaluru to visit his aunt living in Nagawara, off Ballari Road.
