Cash-for-query case: Mahua Moitra should get a chance to speak in her defence, says Shashi Tharoor

Congress leader Shashi Tharoor has said Trinamool MP Mahua Moitra should be given a chance to speak in her defence after the Lok Sabha Ethics Committee submits its report in the cash-for-query case. Tharoor also expressed concern over the overlapping mandates of Privileges Committee and Ethics Committee. According to several media reports, the committee in its report has recommended the expulsion of Trinamool Congress MP Mahua Moitra in the case.Meanwhile, BJP MP Nishikant Dubey alleged that Adhir Ranjan Chowdhury had leaked the Ethics Committee report before it was tabled in the House.
