Extreme heavy rainfall continues in south districts of Tamil Nadu

Extremely heavy rainfall continues in the south districts of Tamil Nadu, with Palayamkottai and Kanyakumari receiving significant rainfall. Flood-affected people in Tirunelveli district have moved to a shelter camp where they are lining up for ration. Additionally, Thoothkudi district and several other areas are predicted to experience extremely heavy rainfall. There have been reports of cattle losses due to the heavy downpour in Thoothkudi. The Tamil Nadu government has declared a holiday for schools and institutions in affected districts.
