P Chidambaram to head Congress manifesto panel for Lok Sabha elections

Congress veteran and former minister P Chidambaram will head the party’s manifesto committee for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, with the AICC announcing the important panel early in an apparent bid to shore up the spirits of the demoralised workers by demonstrating seriousness about the polls preparations in the wake of recent assembly defeats. Besides Chidambaram, Chhattisgarh leader TS Singh Deo is the convener of the panel, which also comprises Karnataka CM Siddaramaiah, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Jairam Ramesh among others.
