Water supply to be affected in some parts of Mumbai

Water supply in parts of Mumbai, including Malabar Hill, Dadar, Lower Parel, Kurla, and Powai, will be affected from January 4-5. The leakage observed on the 900mm cross connection between Upper Vaitarna and Vaitarna main near Powai cannot be repaired without isolating Vaitarna mains from Equalisation point Bhandup Complex to Maroshi Tunnel. Repair work is scheduled from January 4, 10 am to January 5, 10 am. The affected areas include zones in A ward fed from Malabar Hill and Azad Maidan reservoirs, as well as parts of L ward and S ward.
