Defence ministry to procure 97 LCA Mark 1As from HAL in biggest-ever indigenous military equipment order

The defense ministry has issued a tender to Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) for the purchase of 97 LCA Mark 1A fighter jets, valued at over Rs 65,000 crore. This marks the Indian government's largest order for domestically manufactured military equipment. Recently dispatched by the defense ministry to HAL, the tender grants a three-month period for a response.
