Remote roads, remote remedies: Woman carried in doli for 6km to hospital in Andhra Pradesh

Marri Kavya, a tribal woman, was carried in a doli for 6 km to a health centre due to the lack of a road and ambulance in a remote tribal hamlet. Villagers pooled money to construct a road. Issues with NREGA scheme and contractor billing caused villagers to walk for basic amenities. CPM district committee member demanded action against officials.
