Jordan- Army foils infiltration attempt at northern border

(MENAFN - Jordan News Agency) Amman, Mar. 25 (Petra)- Troops in the Northern Military Zone foiled an attempt by an individual to infiltrate the Kingdom from Syria, an official military source in the General Command of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) said on Thursday.The source said that the Army personnel applied the rules of engagement, leading to the killing of the suspect, whose body was transferred to the relevant authorities.The Army will apply "full force" to thwart any infiltration, or smuggling attempts to protect the Kingdom's borders and citizens, the source added.
