Kuwait chief lawmaker praises success of Egypt's Pharaoh Golden Parade

(MENAFN - Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, April 4 (KUNA) -- Kuwait National Assembly Speaker Marzouq Al-Ghanim Marzouq Al-Ghanim congratulated his Egyptian counterparts on the successful transportation of Royal Mummies, in what was labelled the Pharaoh's Golden Parade.Al-Ghanim sent congratulatory letters on the occassion to Egypt's House of Representatives Speaker Hanafy El Gebaly and Senate President Abdelwahab Abdelrazeq.In the messages, he applauded the "scope of the preparations which made the event a success, illustrating Egypt's commitment to its rich, ancient cultural heritage." The Mummies were taken from the Egyptian Museum in Cairo to the new National Museum of Egyptian Civilisation in Fustat in a lavish, tightly-guarded spectacle.
