Israel hits positions in Syria following missile assault

(MENAFN) On Thursday, Apr. 22 Israel's military stated that it hit positions in Syria after a Syrian anti-aircraft missile knocked southern Israel previously in the day. There were no direct reports of wounds or destruction in Israel. An Israeli military representative stated in a report: "surface-to-air missile fire was identified from Syria," further saying that the missile settled in the Negev Desert. The missile provoked sirens in Dimona, a southern town where the Israeli Negev Nuclear Research Center is found, noted the military.
