Palestinian government welcomes Qatar''s allocation of $500m for reconstruction of Gaza

(MENAFN - The Peninsula) Ramallah: Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh expressed his thanks and appreciation to the Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani for his decision to allocate $500 million in support for the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip, praising Doha's continuous efforts to strengthen the steadfastness of the Palestinian people on their land. Shtayyeh said that the government welcomes every effort to help the people in the Gaza Strip, whether by providing urgent humanitarian aid or rebuilding what was destroyed by the Israeli aggression. He explained that the government's priorities are to accelerate the arrival of relief aid to the Gaza Strip, start the reconstruction process according to new mechanisms that ensure its completion within an acceptable time frame, and launch a program for economic recovery and development for the various sectors in the Gaza Strip.  MENAFN28052021000063011010ID1102163214
