OPEC crudes basket down 50 cents to USD 73.34 pb

(MENAFN - Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) VIENNA, June 30 (KUNA) -- The OPEC basket of crudes went down 50 cents during trading sessions to close at USD 73.34 per barrel (pb) on Tuesday, compared with USD 73.84 on last Monday, said the organization on Wednesday.The annual price of the OPEC basket in 2020 was at USD 41.47 pb.The meeting of OPEC+ noted the continued improvement of the market as oil demand showed clear signs of improvement, as well as the economy recovery continued in most parts of the world with the acceleration of vaccination programs against COVID-19.In its latest forecast, OPEC expected demand for its crude to be at 27.7 million barrels per day (bpd) this year with the raise of five million bpd in comparison of 2020.
