3.5M foreign tourists travels to Turkey last month

(MENAFN) As announced by Turkish Culture and Tourism Ministry, the figure of foreigners going to Turkey increased twofold on an annual basis to 3.5 million in last month, adding the number decreased 19 percent from its pre-epidemic rate of 4.3 million foreigners in the same month in 2019. The Mediterranean resort city of Antalya welcomed most foreign travelers, with 1.6 million in October 2021. Istanbul, Turkish city that holds most inhabitants, fascinated 1.2 million foreign travelers and Edirne in northwestern Turkey that limits Bulgaria and Greece, and greeted 244,002 foreigners in October. Turkey held 9.8 million travelers, as well as Turkish residents living out of the country in the month.
