A NASA telescope captured the biggest solar flare in years, causing radio interference on Earth. The flare, accompanied by a massive radio burst, affected parts of the U.S. and other sunlit areas. It was the largest flare since 2017, resulting in one of the largest solar radio events recorded. The eruption occurred in the far northwest section of the sun. NASA's Solar Dynamics Observatory recorded the powerful surge of energy as a bright flash. The sun is nearing the peak of its 11-year solar cycle.
