Macworld | iWorld, as the event is now called, offers fans of the Cupertino company a chance to see the latest software and accessories built for Apple products, as well as the range of ways they are used in creative projects. 'World's fair' for fansThe expo, which runs through Saturday, will feature a festival of films shot on iPhones, performances from Apple-loving musicians, and seminars on using Apple products. A "silent disco" will allow people to dance wearing wireless headphones while DJs beam music to them over MacBooks. Apple quit participating in the event after the 2009 show, forcing organizers to reimagine how an expo could continue to thrive without its most important patron premiering new products on stage. The "iFan" pass, which includes access to 75 tech talks and additional film and music performances, costs $100 in advance and $125 day of the show.
