The coronavirus pandemic continued to surge in California over the weekend and Gov. Gavin Newsom's "watch list" of counties with rising infection and hospitalization rates grew to 24. In the Bay Area, Contra Costa, Marin, Santa Clara and Solano counties are on the list.
