NEWARK, N.J. (PIX11) -- A monument to Harriet Tubman was officially unveiled in Newark on Thursday.  It replaces a Christopher Columbus statue that was removed two years ago due to some concerns about the explorer’s history. The monument celebrates Tubman’s legacy of freedom and the abolitionist movement in New Jersey.
