France deploys 7,000 troops for extra security after teacher slain

French President Emmanuel Macron has deployed 7,000 soldiers for increased security patrols in response to bomb alerts and an Islamist attack. The Louvre museum, Palace of Versailles, and Paris' Gare de Lyon train station were evacuated due to false alarms. Interior Minister Gerald Darmanin mentioned a "jihadist atmosphere" following events in the Middle East. Macron's office announced that the soldiers would be deployed until further notice as part of an ongoing security operation.
