Indonesian security forces have recovered the bodies of six traditional gold mining workers who went missing after a separatist attack in Papua. Gunmen attacked a gold panning camp, killing seven workers and setting vehicles on fire. A shootout between security forces and rebels followed. The West Papua Liberation Army claimed responsibility for the attack and warned workers to leave Indonesian government projects and gold mining areas. Papua has experienced frequent conflicts between indigenous Papuans and Indonesian security forces.
