Maine mass killing suspect had mental health issues, purchased guns legally, authorities say

An Army reservist who killed 18 people at a Maine bowling alley and bar purchased his weapons legally, according to authorities. The shooter, identified as Robert Card, died of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. He had a history of mental illness, including hearing voices and expressing a desire to harm others.
