'Take Me Home Tonight' Singer Eddie Money Dead at 70

'Take Me Home Tonight' Singer Eddie Money Dead at 70 Just last month, he revealed that he had stage 4 esophageal cancer.

Eddie Money's family, via statement Money reached the peak of his fame in the 1980s with a string of hit singles.

They include “Baby Hold On" and “Two Tickets to Paradise." Money, whose real name was Edward Joseph Mahoney, had continued performing into 2019.

But recent health problems forced him to cancel a planned summer tour.

Over his career, Money released 11 studio albums and sold over 28 million records.

He also starred in a reality show on AXS TV called 'Real Money.'

Money is survived by his wife Laurie, whom he had been married to for 30 years.

The couple have five children together.
