McDonald's CEO Ousted After Showing 'Poor Judgment'

Steve Easterbrook is out as McDonald's CEO and president.

CNN reports the move came after the board determined that he violated company policy.

Easterbrook became CEO in 2015.

[Easterbrook] demonstrated poor judgment involving a recent consensual relationship with an employee.

McDonald's company statement Effective immediately, Easterbrook is replaced in both roles by Chris Kempczinski.

Kempczinski was most recently president of McDonald's USA, effective immediately.
