On campus sarah scott middle school in terre haute is gaining some "national" attention.

It was recognized by a national company for it's digital signs.

The company "rise vision" currently works with 3 thousand schools.

At 5 o'clock we told you the displays show numerous announcements throughout the school.

News 10's richard solomon is live from the middle school.

He shares just how excited one student is.

One young man i spoke with says..

He's excited to see just how much recognition the digital signs get.

He says they've done a great job keeping everyone involved.

" walking down the halls of sarah scott middle school..

It's hard not to spot them..

"nats" this is 1 of the 8 digital signage projects.

And recently they've received some national attention from several national outlets.

It's a big deal to 8th grader elijah shouse.

"it's really cool.

Not a lot of schools do this and not a lot of time is put into this type of stuff" this young man is in the tv program at his middle school.

His weekly newscast..along with school announcements are just some of the things that play on monitors across the school.

The school started using the programs from the company rise vision in january.

And it's taken off!

"it's kind of going crazy really i didn't think it would happen like this" tony smodilla has been hands on with the software.

The media studies teacher says students can't use their phones during school.

So..having these digital signs up..keeps everyone in the loop "these displays are interactive there's movement there's motion there's sound with it so it's interesting to watch not just boring" there are more than 3,000 schools that use this program.

Several of those schools are in in vigo county.

Shouse says he's going to soak up all of this fame while he can.

"i want to be famous one day.

So to be nationally recognized putting my name out there so it's really fun" smodilla says they even smodilla fun" smodilla says they even use the displays for emergencies.

He says this is something everyone should have in their schools.
