Breaking news tonight's gunplay marks the second shooting in as many days in mason city.

At this hour, an 18 yearáold is being treated for gunshot wounds.

Nick á fill us in on the latest.xxx live katie and george á police tell me it was here... hear the intersectino of fifth street northeast and north pennsylvania ave that an 18 yearáold man was shot/ thankfully he is expected to be okay á but police have a lot of questions that still need answered tonight.xxx "it's very scary, i live like two blocks over and it's dangerous.

I don't even like being out here at night."

Shelly schaer says she is a little shaken up after mason city has experienced two shootings in two days.

In tonight's incident, an 18á yearáold man was shot during an altercation between multiple people in several cars.

Police stopped one of the vehicles which is where they found the victim.

He was taken to mercy one north iowa for treatment.

Meanwhile, schaer, who grew up in mason city tells me she thinks crime has increased over the years, and it's a lot different from when she was a kid.

Everybody according to the mason city police department so far there is no indication this afternoon's shooting was related to the shooting which happened yesterday.

Now as we told you á this is the second shooting in mason city in the last two days.

Yesterday á derrick young was arrested for intimidation with a dangerous weapon after police responded to a report of multiple gunshots.

Evidence on the scene suggests a person (was shot... but police are still trying to find that victim.
