NASCAR's David Ragan took 41NBC's Montezz Allen on a ride along Wednesday at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

Well ... today wasn't an average day in sports by any stretch of the imagination ... i had a chance to visit the atlanta motor speedway, where this happened ... :29-:35 georgia's own david ragan was kind enough to take me for a few laps in that car right there ... yes a real nascar ... i mean, just listen to the engine roar ... but before that i had to put on my fresh nascar suit ... and then the helmet ... get situated in the car ... after that ... it was showtime ... dave, what did you just do to me?

"hopefully, i gave you a little bit of a adrenaline rush.

We made a few laps here at atlanta motor speedway.

160 mph, maybe 170 top speed.

Slowed down a little bit in the corners, so that's 30, 40 miles slower than what the cup cars will be here in just a few weeks.
