Local couple make it back home after COVID-19 outbreak on cruise

It's definitely a different world than when we left a few weeks ago bud and carla got a little more than they bargained for when they left on february 19th for what was planned to be a two week cruise.
They were confined to their room on the cruise ship for over a week and then held in quarantine in mirimar airforce base for two weeks before finally being able to head home.
We were fortunate you know we got through it unscathed and we got to know each other better after 50 years of marriage if that's possible their survival method?
Games and love we would play scrabble several several times a day we play gin rummy i would make scarves for people who have breast cancer she made 40 of them over 40 actually --butted-- being young and in love again i had my husband wi me all the time and he had to pay attention to me huh i may not have been quite as young as you their positive attitude was a constant throughout the entire experience but they say it definitely wasn't all smiles.
Forever we were kind of on edge because we both had coughs we didn't have a fever but it's just the unknown--butted--bud has copd so if he had gotten the virus it could've been deadly but two negative tests and one very extended vacation later ... they continue to look for the silver linings.
We could adapt to prison life a little easier than if we had not had this experience all jokes aside, i think everyone could learn somethng from bud and carla stop thinking about the things you could've done or that you could be doing because that's not going to happen and there's no use thinking about them so start thinking about all the things you can do--butted--you have more time to do those things - clean your closets, connect with the people around you well i'm not cleaning my closet do some facetime and they have one final message for the rogue valley the people that made positive comments and encouragement and were offering prayers it meant a lot it meant so much we just want to thank those people they did mean a lot it was ok we haven't been forgotten out here
