The driver sparked chaos after allegedly arguing with a motorcyclist then knocking him over in the Quezon City area of Manila, the Philippines on February 8.

Several bystanders gave chase and surrounded the car before the police arrived.

The driver was then dragged out into the road.

Video taken from a footbridge shows the long queues on the Commonwealth Avenue as drivers were held up in rush hour traffic while the brawl happened.

Police said the driver was arrested on suspicion of disobedience to authority, direct assault, and violation of the Dangerous Drugs Act.

The Quezon City Police Station said in a statement the driver was detained and later released on bail.

They said: ''There were many witnesses who we are collecting statements from and checking CCTV of the alleged traffic infringement that caused the raucous.

''Traffic on Commonwealth Avenue was delayed for a while during the incident but it resumed once the scene had been cleared.''
