Cases of coronavirus are expected to peak in the next couple of weeks... there are now more than ?

Thousand cases of covi?19 in the hoosier state with multiple efforts to help flatten the curve.

This morning?

Indiana lieutenant governor suzanne crouch is joining us via facetime..... there's a new campaign in indiana to promote the importance of social distancing.... talk to us a little bit about the campaign titled "in this together"..... suzanne crouch says, "in this together is a campaign to spread to the word about coronavirus and how we can protect ourselves so we don't spread the virus and what we try to educate people is that through social distancing and staying at home we can flatten the curve and win the fight against coronavirus... .

There are a number of notable hoosiers that are involved in this campaign to spread the word.

From the colts to the paces to the fever?

Locally mayor lloyd winnecke southwest indiana chamber and old national bank are all participating to spread the word so we can defeat coronavirus.

A lot of hoosiers getting behind this campaign to try and get everyone on board with what's to come in the next couple of weeks... which leads me to this.... you have to have community bu?in for this to really work to stop the spread of covi?19... why is it so incredibly important that everyone practices the ??c guidelines when it comes to social distancing?

Suzanne crouch says, "we know the next few weeks are absolutely critical it's when it's supposed to peak here in indiana.

So we need to tell hoosiers please stay home.

If you have to get out to go do some essential shopping just send one member form the household don't take the entire family...be sure that you social distance because this coronavirus is spread by droplets and we want to be sure we have ?6 ft from each other, wash your hands a lot, cough into your arm?

Do those things to protect yourself but also your loved ones because this coronavirus isn't just about each of us individually it's a bout all of us collectively as hooisers so please, please social distance, stay at home as much as you can and protect yourself and protect your loved ones.

Social distancing isn't necessarily about you?

It's about your friends, your family?

Our health care workers who are on the front lines fighting this everyday... it's about doing everything we can to stop the virus from spreading.

Last thing we want to ask you?

As these stay at home orders are in place across the country and here at home... we're all cooped up right now and that can start to get to people?

What are you doing to try and keep busy?

Keep your mind also in a healthy place?

Suzanne crouch says, "it's important and you bring up a wonderful point we need to protect ourselves and take care of our physical well being but we also need to take care of our mental and emotional well being.

And so what i do is i love yoga?

So i'm doing yoga at home i do weight training at home i work in the yard as much as i can i actually am playing solitaire which is a game i loved when i was younger and i try to walk i'm walking a lot now each day i get at least 1?thousand steps which is really unusual for me and i try to walk with my little dog luna?

Who is such a comfort to me in fact?

She's here today and luna loves to go walking and she loves to walk our dogs our cats our pets they know when we are in stress, they know when we need comfort and so it's important that we draw that comfort from them use them to exercise and take care of ourselves not just physically but mentally and emotionally because we are all in this together."

That is the name of campaign.

We are all "in this together"?

And it's the very reason we're talking to you... in hopes that hoosiers understand now more than ever?

We need to be practicing social distancing and heed those stay home at home orders that will be in place through april 20th.

We'd like to thank lieutenant governor crouch for taking the time to
