It's the new norm for birthday celebrations amidst a pandemic.

The world war two veteran who now lives in ashland was all smiles.

And that's his secret to a long life.

Joseph vidmar says, "always laugh at every thing that's funny."

That -- and keeping you family close.

Even if it's just a zoom call.

(take joseph key) joseph vidmar says, "love your kids because they're not your kids anymore they're your best friends."

He says there's only one thing you need for a good birthday celebration.

Joseph vidmar says, "you can still celebrate your birthday even though you're still locked in a house with somebody.

You still get your cake.

That's the big part.

If you've got your cake, you've got your birthday."

A good cake... to celebrate.
