The city of new haven installed temporary speed bumps in an effort to keep drivers at a safe pace for the community.

Which means drivers have to be cautious of their speed.

So new haven residents opted to install temporary speed bumps in select neighborhoods for safety.

Kayte thompson walked around the block with her daughters this morning.

She wants to continue doing that without worry of getting hit.

So now it's a chance for them to slow it down and be aware of their surroundings."

Neighborhood association president, craig dellinger empathizes with the residents.

Most cars we saw slowed down for the speed bumps.

Maybe this means there's hope for the new haven neighborhoods.

The temporary speed bumps will be moved every four weeks after installation to a different street.

The neighborhood association will meet next month to confirm which neighborhoods will receive permanent speed bumps.
