Salvation Army Virtual Walk for Good

Local non-profits are working hard to raise money during the pandemic.

Community is meeting the pandemic is making it really hard financially for no?profit organizations..

Including the salvation army.

That's why the northern divison of the salvation army is hosting a virtual walk for good.

Rebecca snapp with the rochester chapter says right now they can use all the support they can get.

Their spring fundraiser has been put on hold and the red wing store that provides them money for their programs is closed.

Snapp says their location is losing ?

Thousand dollars a day and it's putting a strain on how they serve the community.xxx "we are at a point now people are gonna come to us for food.

And we are really expecting to see a big increase in number of people coming to us for a number of other services.

Just in the wake of all of this people are going to be struggling for a little while.

We're told all donations from the virtual walk will be matched by the richard m schulze family foundation up to 2?thousand dollars.
