Thursday morning, according to the police.

47-year-old anthony joseph eidem, of chico, was arrested around 8 a.m.

On the suspicion of attempted rape by force and assault with force, likely to produce greater bodily injury... according to chico police's crime portal.eidem is the owner of gearhead barbershop located on west sacramento avenue.

Just last week, he reopened his barbershop amid the stay-at-home orders.

When he opened for business code enforcement officials met with him to make sure he knew all of the rules and regulations.

However, the chico community expressed a mix of emotions.

Eidem's bail has been set at $130,000.
