Officials in Madison County held a press conference Friday to discuss the county's response to a coronavirus outbreak at Green Empire Farms in Oneida.

Department and board of supervisors spoke this morning about the massive corona- virus outbreak reported this week at a greenhouse in oneida.

More than 100 people were infected with coronavirus at green empire farms in the city of oneida.... some of those workers living in oneida county this morning madison county officials went over how the county handled this week's spike.

Sot: eric faisst, madison county health director we were able to test 186 people on saturday at the testing site, and then another 151 people on tuesday.

After 2 days of targeted testing we identified a total of 83 positives among the workers of green empire farms, the majority of which reside in the 2 hotels.

Oneida hospital currently has no cases, and the extended care facility has had no positives as well.

Health officials are asking everyone to continue with proper social distancing, and to wear personal protective equipment out in public.
