A mix up in the Congressional Republican Primary might cost some citizens their votes.

Not impact public safety employees.

Officials with the macon-bibb county board of elections say they are correcting a ballot mix up... that may cost some voters their votes.

The mix up affects the congressional republican primary... in the hazzard four precinct in bibb county.

That precinct includes parts of congressional district 2 and district 8.

The board of elections says ... it placed district eight's candidates on everyone in the precinct's ballot -- even those who live in district 2.

289 people received incorrect absentee ballots.

And the county already received 117 of those wrong ballots back.

During a special meeting today... the board of elections decided to remail correct ballots along with an explanation.

However... those who voted in-person on monday ... will not get a chance to revote.

"unfortunately, the people that voted live yesterday and from what we caseven people.

Those 7 people votes are voted and there is nothing we can do about it.

And there is no record to tell us who they voted for."
