Paradise Unified School District held emergency school board meeting for graduaion

PUSD held an emergency meeting to decide the plan Paradise High School would follow for their upcoming graduation ceremony.

District held a board meeting earlier tonight about paradise high school's upcoming graduation ceremony... our own brandon benitez joins us live in studio with more on the meeting... alan, the board had two different plans on the table... "plan a" was a plan created by the board which details a ceremony where students are allowed to walk acorss the stage... there's an eight person limit per student but only folks from the same household are allowed... despite careful and thourough planning, butte county public health deemed this gathering which would total roughly 130 people -- in violation under current local health guidelines... i believe that we made a strong plan that ensured the safety of our students however i am concerned that the circumstances have changed from the time that we created that plan to the position that we're in now and i would have some concerns moving forward at this point plan b aligns itself with butte county's recommended outline of having a drive-thru ceremony... while many liked the measures "plan a" had -- the board voted 5-0 in favor of "plan b" the board also mentioned if county guidelines were to loosen before the scheduled june first and second ceremony date -- the staff would adjust the setting accordingly...
