Butte County deputies provide boat safety ahead of Memorial Day weekend

We are at the kick-off to the Memorial Day weekend and many of you may be taking to local waterways.

A coast guard veteran boaters have heard it before but for new boaters out there listen up.

One of the spots expected to be busy?

Second - if you plan to drink don't get behind the wheel.

And make sure your boat has its current registration.
