Pool Safety During Pandemic

Camelot Pool is only allowing members, not guests to swim.

Even still, they ask that social distance be maintained.

Weekend.

This morning pools are opening their doors to ring in the unofficial start of summer.

Waay31s sierra phillips is live at camelot pool in southeast huntsville where that start will look a little different this year.

Sierra, what extra coronavirus precautions is staff taking?

When the pool opens later this morning only members will be allowed to walk through those doors.

Pool go-ers will be asked to keep a 6 foot distance.

Staff will be cleaning and sanitizing the pool and lifeguard chairs.... as well as the bathrooms. they'll also have a separate exit to limit interaction.

A pool representative told us while this memorial day weekend hasn't been as busy as previous years people were excited to head back to the pool.

"i think people were ready to come out, and see their friends and do a little socializing."

The pool will stay under 50 percent capacity.

They'll also close their doors and hour earlier.
