A local family and police are looking for answers tonight after a driver struck a 90 year old woman and drove away..

It happened sunday morning near paulding road and hessen cassel.

She talked to the woman's granddaughter about what happened.

Imagine your 90 year old grandmother getting hit by a car and the person who hit her fleeing the scene.that's what happened to naida kirkpatrick while riding her bike.

90-year-old naida kirkpatrick was cruising along paulding road in her three-wheeled bicycle sunday morning when she was hit by a car.

The driver kept going and now grandaughter lindsay galbreath hopes who did it will come forward.

Police say the car was a blue ford with temporary tags.

But at the scene-- very little evidence.... just damaged bike and kirkpatrick herself with a few broken ribs and collar bone.

Now galbreath and her family are canvassing the area to find out more about what happened.07:08:40-07:08:51 "she's a helpful person.

Anyone she sees in need, she'd help out.

She's helped me out in the lowest points in my life and took me in when i had nowhere else to go so she deserves a lot more than what she's gotten so far."police are asking for surveliance video.

Galbreath and her family are passing out flyers asking for any information.

One thing they do know is someone stopped that morning and called 9-1-1.

Galbreath says she's grateful to whoever that person is.

Just knowing that she was alone or whatever and that person stopped and called 9-1-1, stayed and talked to the police and didn't take off like the other person did means a lot and i hope they are watching.

Galbreath says her galbreath says her grandmother is still in the hospital recovering.
