Some members of the booneville police department say they want to be tested for the coronavirus.
Wayne hereford went to booneville today where he caught up with one officer at a testing site.
Standup.."here in booneville at the police station, policemen say you never know what you might run into on the streets especially during during the coronavirus pandemic."
"because everyday our job is coming in contact with people.
We have to do this job .
We can't put it on hold."
Officer katherine windham says that the coronavirus made her job even tougher.
"so if i have come in contact with somebody.
Its better to know that the possibility of me having it to keep from going into other homes in contact with other people and spreading it."
Officer windham she's not the only one of the booneville police force who feels this way.
She says several officers came for testing at this site in booneville .
She also says they are doing all they can on a daily basis to keep themselves safe right now.
"we try to like , on calls and stuff, we try to keep the six foot rule.
We don't go in homes and stuff we try to make them come outside and speak with us.
And we try to keep our distance we wear masks , wash our hands , all that stuff.
And we try not to get out unless we have to."

The testing will go on for the remainder of the day ending sometime around seven.
