Despite people’s demands for immediate action, Frasier said a thorough investigation is necessary.

News.

A gun was allegedly pointed at protesters in coos bay on saturday, and many are demanding that the man involved is charged.

Pressure has been put on coos county district attorney paul frasier who says that because this has not been formally referred to his office, he cannot immediately take action.

It was 36-year-old brandon moore who allegedly pointed the gun and threatened those protesting george floyd's death.

Frasier says that if anyone*does have photos or videos...to bring those to the police& he describes this as some of the "best evidence" that could be brought forward.

"we need to make sure there is a thorough investigation and thorough review by this office so we can make sure that the law is properly and fairly applied.

You really cannot just make charging decisions based on phone calls you've received from the community demanding action."

Frasier says that he needs to see the police reports, photos, recordings and eye witness statements to take further action...but he does not have that material at the moment.

Moore was arrested and taken to coos county jail, but was released.
