Over 2 lakh stranded Indians have been repatriated under government's Vande Bharat Mission by Air India, informed the Chairman and Managing Director of Air India, Rajiv Bansal. "As on July 13, Air India and Air India Express operated 1103 flights, bringing back 2,08,000 Indians under Vande Bharat Mission. On many of these flights, we ferried back 85,289 passengers to various countries across the world," said Rajiv Bansal in a joint press conference in New Delhi.

A man named Ramshad, his pregnant wife and four-year-old daughter escaped Kozhikode plane crash with minor injuries. Ramshad said, "I feared that aircraft will explode and I was running with my family to safety. It's a miracle that we escaped unhurt. I thank Almighty for it. Pieces of cabin luggage fell on my daughter. I somehow managed to get up and took her. My wife also got up after initial shock. We managed to reach the wing of the aircraft and jumped out. There were cries and utter chaos all around us." On August 07, Air India skidded during landing at Kozhikode airport which several injured and many died including 2 pilots.
Mortal remains of pilot-in-command Deepak Vasanth Sathe reached Mumbai on Sunday afternoon. Mortal remains were kept at the Air India facility near the Terminal 2 of the Chhatrapati Shivaji international airport for some time. Deepak Sathe's wife Sushma and their son were present. Body of the deceased was brought to Mumbai from Kochi. Pilots, crew and ground staff of Air India paid tributes to the late captain. Sathe lost his life with 17 others in Kozhikode plane crash. Mortal remains of co-pilot Akhilesh Kumar were cremated on Sunday. Around 200 Air India Express employees paid tribute to the fallen co-pilot in Delhi. Kumar's mortal remains were taken to his native place in Uttar Pradesh's Mathura. An Air India Express plane overshot the runway on August 7. A day after shocking plane crash in Kerala, Union minister Hardeep Singh Puri paid a visit. Hardeep Puri visited the spot of the plane crash in Kozhikode and said that the black boxes have been retrieved and will help find cause. On behalf of ministry, Air India, we announced interim relief. Rs 10 lakh for kin of deceased, Rs 2 lakh for seriously injured," Civil Aviation Minister Hardeep Puri said.

Ahead of the mega foundation laying ceremony of Ram temple in Ayodhya, two brothers have collected water from more than 150 rivers. Since 1968, both the brothers collected water from 151 rivers across the nation. While speaking to ANI, Radhe Syam Pandey narrated the entire journey. "We've collected water from 151 rivers, 8 big rivers, 3 seas and soil from 16 places of Sri Lanka," he said.
