A portland teen wants to help seniors in need right here in eugene during the pandemic.

16-year-old neel jain started p-d-x concierge in april.

The teen recruited other volunteers and started grocery shopping for seniors and at- risk people.

Since then, more than 60 deliveries have been made in half a dozen cities around oregon.

We spoke with jain from portland today who told us he has volunteers ready and willing to serve eugene.

Theye just waiting on orders.

So i helped her out but then i noticed how their may be many other elderly people who maybe don have the family for suppor?

The service is free and he says it not just about the groceries.

He said the volunteers also offer companionship for the elderly who may feel isolated during this time.
