Phased openings roll along-- the re-open evansville task force turning its focus to getting free face coverings to thousands of families-- to do it -- they're teaming up with "feed evansville"-- this morning we're taking a look at how they're helping families during these tough times.

(nats?) right now-- with families still struggling due to the covid-19 fall-out... these are much more than boxes-- of food- (nats?) - for some families-- these are boxes-- and bags-- of hope-- and signs of a sagging economy-- "there were a lot of people struggling with food insecurity issue prior to covid-19 and then with the large amount of furloughs and lay-offs the food security has grown.."

Mary fallowfeld-- just one of hundreds who came out-- each car getting their share of the 15-hundred boxes and bags of fresh produce-- and dairy..

She prefers to pay her share..forward... "i'll try and get enough for my family and sometimes if there's somebody that needs something, i'll give it to them."

Feed evansville helps provide food to six thousand families every week-- and they'll do it every monday through the end of august..
